Devara box office Day 5: Jr NTR’s film to cross Rs 200 crore in India

Telugu superstar Jr NTR and director Koratala Siva’s Devara: Part 1 saw a slight growth in collection on Tuesday, October 1. The action drama is now marching towards the Rs 200-crore mark (nett) in India and is likely to achieve the milestone in a couple of days. Worldwide, the movie’s next target is Rs 400 crore. With October 2 being a national holiday in India, Devara: Part 1 is expected to see an incline in numbers.
Devara: Part 1 released in theatres on September 27 in multiple languages. The film received mixed responses from critics and audiences alike.
On October 1, Tuesday, the film saw a slight increase in numbers compared to Day 4 collection. According to the tracking website, Sacnilk, the film reportedly earned Rs 13.50 crore nett at the domestic box office. This is indeed a great sign for the film during the weekdays.
The five-day total collection of Devara: Part 1 now stands at Rs 186.85 crore (nett) in India. The Telugu version of the film recorded an occupancy of 27.96 per cent on October 1.

Written and directed by Koratala Siva, Devara: Part 1 saw Jr NTR play two roles – as father Devara and son Varada. Bollywood actors Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan made their Telugu debuts with Devara: Part 1. The second part is yet to be shot.
Set in coastal lands, the film is about the fearless Devara who goes into exile to save the lives of his people. However, conspiracy looms over him and his family, which unravels many truths about Devara and other characters.
